L. Paul Goldberg, Chairman and Co-Founder

Paul Goldberg manages investor relations and is an architect of the original business strategy. He has significant personal experience with the challenges of eldercare and he is deeply committed to the needs faced by older adults in transition.

He also brings his skills and experience as President and CEO of Pure Audio, Inc., which he founded with his partner in 1996 when he purchased the business from its original owners. Pure Audio has garnered international awards for its quality work in sound design and recording for advertising, film and new media. Clients include major national, regional, and Fortune 50 companies such as McDonalds, T-Mobile, Bon-Macys, Microsoft, Nordstrom, Paramount, Nintendo and many others.

In 2001 Puget Sound Business Journal honored him as one of the region's "40 Under 40" business leaders, selected by a panel of judges as one of the top young entrepreneurs with a demonstrated commitment to community service. Through that group he co-founded NwNext Leader's Council. Paul also serves on the Board of Governors for the Evergreen State College Foundation, the Board of Directors for TVW a broadcast nonprofit that covers state politics and is a member of the Community Advisory Board of Shoreline Community College.

Michael Nemirow, CEO, Co-Founder, Director

Michael Nemirow oversees day-to-day operations of the company, directs business development and expansion strategies, and is part of the team that developed the business plan for the company.

Michael has a long track record of success business leadership. He was the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Fox Marketing Group, a provider of outsourced call center operations for clients including AT&T Wireless resellers, Bell Canada, Intrawest, and Dunn & Bradstreet. At the same time he served as an executive at Fox Communications, a related company, first heading the conference calling division and later serving as Vice President of Sales and Business Development. Prior to joining Fox he held key sales and leadership positions in software, real estate services, and event management companies.

He has lead efforts in such areas as international trade-shows, direct marketing companies in expanding industries, converting existing customer bases into new products based on latest technologies, and other similar roles. Most recently, Michael held a key position in one of the Northwest's fastest growing companies. He was tasked with helping to architect the organization's future and in doing so helped change the company from a product based organization into a services based customer focused company. He also worked in collaboration with a spin-off company from a leading university to help convert their core technologies into better economic models that meet the needs of the market.

Eric G. Rovner, VP Marketing and Business Development

Eric Rovner is responsible for developing and managing the marketing function, ensuring senior advocacy, and leading new business development activities.

Eric’s professional background in senior housing includes Erickson Communities based in Baltimore, Glenwood Senior Living formerly based in Chicago, and Era Living Communities based in Seattle. For seven years, Eric served as the Corporate Director of Marketing for Era Living Communities, one of the premier developer/managers of retirement communities in the Puget Sound region. His time in the industry has given Eric the chance to collaborate with a variety of companies serving the specialized needs of older adults and their families. This experience, coupled with his first hand knowledge of the value created by a seamless transition inspired him to join the Benevia team in October 2005.

An experienced marketing and sales professional passionate about providing exceptional services to the mature market, Eric has a proven track record of achieving outstanding growth in sales and market share through strategic planning, program design and team management. With nearly a dozen years of professional experience in the senior housing industry, Eric is well aware of the challenges older adults and their family members encounter during a later life transition.

Eric holds a Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Whitman College.
