Larry brings over 35 years of experience in the moving and storage industry, so becoming one of Benevia’s “preferred movers” was inevitable. Larry’s knowledge of handling the smallest items to some of the most precious treasures in the world is invaluable in helping families transition through life.
Born and raised in the Seattle area, Larry has strong ties to the community and is owner and president of Hansen Bros. Moving and Storage, a fourth generation family owned business started in 1890 by his great, great grandfather.
With 3 locations in the Puget Sound area representing Allied Van Lines and Allied International, Hansen Bros services clients locally, nationally, and worldwide. Larry also owns PortaBox Storage (a portable storage company), AliaWorks (a move management and estate sale company), and HB Auctions (an asset liquidation company). Operating under the same umbrella and combining the full spectrum of service capabilities of each company, we offer many different solutions to residential or commercial client’s requirements.
Eric G. Rovner, Co-Founder

With more than 15 years in the retirement living industry, Eric's passion for transforming the way older adults and their families navigate transitions has shaped the Benevia service model. Eric holds responsibility for the strategic direction of the company, leading new business development activities, developing and managing the marketing function, and ensuring service quality.
Prior to Benevia, Eric served for seven years as the Corporate Director of Marketing for Era Living Communities, one of the premier retirement living development/management companies in the Puget Sound region. Eric's professional background in senior living also includes Erickson Communities based in Baltimore and Glenwood Senior Living, formerly based in Chicago.
Eric holds a Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology from Whitman College.
Janice Ridge, Director of Services
Janice has an extensive background in client relationships, corporate relocation, internet marketing, and business development. She also has personal experience managing the transitions of aging family members and she joined the Benevia team with a commitment to make the transition process easier for others.
Her responsibilities at Benevia include assisting clients and their families with their transitions, working closely with referral sources, and managing our network of screened service providers.
Janice's professional experience includes management roles at luxuryrealestate.com, HomeGain.com, and Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate. During her 15 years in the real estate industry, Janice created and managed many effective programs involving transition planning, coordinating appropriate vendors and services, and ensuring successful moves.
